Physical Oceanographer – Ocean Gliders (IRC164173)
About the role: You will work with the Coastal Ocean Processes group at the NOC in Liverpool as part of a small but expert team working with data from Ocean Gliders. This work will use data from a number of past, current and future funded projects that focus on physical and biogeochemical processes in NW European Shelf Seas.
You will undertake data processing, quality control and analysis of glider data to support the group and to undertake your own research into shelf and coastal sea processes. You will present your work to a UK and international audience by attending conferences and workshops and through publication in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals. Sea-going is not essential but the opportunity exists for participating in fieldwork.
