Based at either our Liverpool or Southampton sites, you will:
• Apply Semantic Web technologies, such as Linked Data and related technologies, to network environmental data centres.
• Provide technical leadership and expertise in marine data management.
• Collaborate with the marine data community, secure funding and deliver projects to network data centres and make data discoverable.
Job Purpose:
· To provide technical leadership and expertise in applying Semantic Web ideas to marine data management.
· In the first instance, the role will focus on applying Linked Data and related technologies to networking data centres.
· In time, the area of expertise may change to reflect changes in technology and the advances in marine data management
